Dan will be there with his books. In this author talk Dan will share a visual presentation about the Gion Festival and describe the Japan book series. Come learn about one of the three largest festivals in Japan.

Dan will be there with his books. In between editing his next book in the Japan Series, Pilgrimage and teaching high school Dan shares his books as his way of sharing twelve years in Japan with the world.

August 18, 2019 Please visit my at my vendor space at the Japanese Obon Festival in St. Paul! It’s the third weekend of August Annually. There is a lot of Japanese cultural opportunities, including food, at the festival and of course copies of Japanese Ghost in America will be available. See you there!

On August 23, 2018 (and 2019) I was at Excelsior Bay Books for a presentation on Japan and Book Signing!

The first reading at the new center is by Daniel O’Brien, local author and teacher. Daniel holds an MA in Advanced Japanese Studies, is creator of the Japan Series, “Exploring Japanese culture through mysteries” (www.japanseries.com).

6:30-7:30 Author Presentation—Japanese Culture Slide Show and Q&A, 7:30-8:00 Book Signing.

Members of the Authors Collective and Chanhassen Library Writer’s Group will give public readings to share work that is stimulating, creative and informative at:

Public Readings: scheduled for 2018.

June 27, 2018 at the City Square Park in Chaska.

Authors will read from a variety of genres between 3:00am and 5:00pm.
